A New Day, A New Wig

August 30th, 2011 | Posted by SarahS in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

A woman can choose to wear a wig for a number of reasons whether to cover natural hair loss or to reinvent her look without a costly trip to the salon. Here we will discuss the latter: blonde wigs

Many women do not realize how easy it is to have a few wigs in their wardrobe and wear them out for special occasions. Women chastise wig wearers because the hair does not look “real.” Does eyeliner, lip-gloss, or glitter look “real”? No, but it looks fabulous. It’s about expressing yourself through fashion not fooling those around you.

As a brunette have you not always wanted to go out as a blonde? Now you can with a blonde wigOr, as a woman with straight hair, have you not wanted to try a  curly wig? It does not matter if it looks like your natural hair as long as it looks great and doesn’t look cheap, and Yaffa Wigs never does.

As a woman you can wear a new dress, new shoes, new makeup and new accessories every day. Why not add new hair to that list. Remember, if you ever tire of your new look, your old hair is under the wig waiting for you.

Women, who are interested in investing in wigs for medical or aesthetic purposes, generally want to find natural looking wigs. However, most women also want their wigs to feel real. In order to achieve this effect, potential wig wearers should look into getting wigs that are made from real hair. Natural Looking Wigs

Since real hair wigs have the same characteristics as natural hair, they may be maintained and cared for in much the same way. A customer should select a wig with a lace cap to which the hair is knotted, since it will have both the most natural feel and the best fit.

If the client plans on wearing the wig consistently but has hair, it should be cropped very short, close to the scalp. This will ensure a snugger and more natural fit. She may also want to have the wig professionally fitted to her head. The stylist can also demonstrate the proper positioning of the wig to ensure the most natural look.

An individual will want a wig, either purchased or custom made, that most resembles her actual hair. This will guarantee that the wig is the most suitable for her skin tone, bone structure, etc., and will therefore look the most natural on her head.

The Benefits of Custom Made Wigs

For some women, especially those suffering from permanent and/or total hair loss, the best wig option available is a custom made wig.  Custom made wigs are more expensive than real hair or synthetic wigs, but they are designed to your measurements, preferences, and specifications. Custom Made Wigs

You choose the style of a custom made wig. You decide cap type, hair part, length, style, texture, quality, thickness, and color. The cap should fit your head snugly, since it is created specifically for your measurements. The perfect fit will look more natural on your head and make you feel more confident.

The key to having a custom cap is to have the appropriate measurements of your head: measure around your head, your nape, from the front of your head to the nape of your neck, from temple to temple, and from ear to ear. A custom wig is made from real hair so you should care for it like you would maintain actual hair.

Your real hair custom made wig will be extremely versatile; you will be able to style it any way you wish. Unlike synthetic wigs, real hair wigs can sustain heat, so you may use blow dryers, curling irons, or straighteners to style it anyway your mood suits you.

A custom made wig should appear and feel like authentic hair. It will flawlessly complement your features since it was created expressly for you.

If you are planning to wear a wig to cover any sort of hair loss, you may be on the hunt for natural looking wigs. If you are looking for your transition into wearing a wig to be as subtle as possible, you need to wear a wig that is not so radically different from your actual hair. You want it to complement your bone structure, facial features, etc. so that it looks as though it belongs on your head. Natural Looking Wigs

The most basic strategy for achieving a realistic look is to choose a quality wig that resembles your natural hair color. The most natural looking wigs have highlights and lowlights, like real hair. You may want to experiment with hair textures that are different from your own, but a wig with texture (curly or straight) similar to your real hair may look the most realistic.

You want a hair length that will frame your face and accentuate your best features. Medium length wigs work with most facial structures and shed less than long wigs. Wigs that have that are parted in the middle or on the side are deceptively real looking, since people glimpse a bit of “scalp”. These wigs tend to be made in the latest styles.

Real hair wigs are pricey, but they are also harder to identify than synthetic wigs. The natural color and strand-by-strand assembly of human hair wigs make each one individual and basically impossible to exactly duplicate. These wigs will also not lose their luster since they require the same basic maintenance as actual hair.

Not all wigs are easily identifiable as such. The secret to finding the most natural looking wig is to keep it simple: look for a human hair wig that resembles your real hair.

Although alopecia areata is actually classified as an autoimmune disease, its cause is unknown. People who develop alopecia are usually in good health; however, certain individuals may also have other immune disorders such as thyroid disease. Some researchers believe that certain persons are genetically predisposed to the condition and that a trigger such a virus or another environmental factor, may launch it. Someone who has a family history of relatives with alopecia is more likely to exhibit it herself. The hair generally grows back but the follicle loss and regrowth may happen several times. Real Hair Wigs

No completely effective treatments for alopecia are available, but they tend to include corticosteroid topical creams, steroid injections under the skin surface, or ultraviolet light therapy. Irritant drugs may also be applied to the scalp to initiate hair regrowth.  Alopecia sufferers may also choose from a variety of natural looking wigs, including synthetic wigs and real hair wigs.

The type wig one chooses depends on the look and style she wants to achieve. Synthetic wigs are certainly cheaper, and in some ways, easier to maintain than real hair wigs. Made out of better, fibers, quality synthetic wigs no longer appear coarse and fake. Real hair wigs are more expensive but also more versatile; they can withstand the heat of styling tools.

If you think you are suffering from alopecia, contact your physician; the two of you can explore your options and come up with a treatment plan.

It is, as someone wise and old once said, a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.

Honestly, the flexibility of the feminine mind is one of its best qualities. It allows women to negotiate and adjust to realities that some men never could. It also  gives many women an amazing restless sense of style that most men could only ever dream of. There is something fun about changing things up. What looks good today may not look good tomorrow, and what looked good last week may be perfect for a month from now.

This is just one of many reasons that a collection of custom wigs can be an invaluable resource for a fashion-forward woman. You can have a number of hair styles to choose from at will, and without the fuss and expense of regular salon visits.

I know several women that swear by wigs for their looks. Wig styling is their ticket to different outfits and having a wide range of styles for different sorts of events. There is so much one can do if their style is not married to a particular hair style, and these ladies know how to make the most of it.
